Whitney Strong

Whitney lives In York, SC.  Whitney graduated from York High School, where she was homecoming queen.  She later graduated from Winthrop Think College.  In addition to furthering her academic skills, Whitney learned life skills such as managing her schedule, keeping her room organized and clean, and she recently obtained her driver’s license. These experiences have prepared her to live independently. Whitney has been employed at Burger King for over two years where she works both in the front and back of the house.  She also holds jobs at Lowe’s and Papa John’s.  When not working, she enjoys cooking, art, walking, listening to music, and volunteering at nursing homes and senior centers.  Whitney credits support from her aunt and uncle for her inspiration to reach for her goals.  Whitney has benefited from the support of South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation in helping her secure employment.
