Casey was born with Marshall Syndrome, a rare disorder that causes difficulty with vision and hearing. When younger, Casey wanted to be a police officer or veterinarian because she loves helping others. After researching the education requirements, she decided to join the Project SEARCH program in her final year of school at Fort Mill High. This program provided several internship experiences where she could help others and this opportunity led to a full-time job with benefits at Piedmont Hospital in Patient Transport. Casey felt the extra supports provided by this program and the support of her supervisor and co-workers at Piedmont have made her successful in her job. In her free time, Casey enjoys walking, shopping, and “chilling” with her family and friends.
